
Schattdecor AG is headquartered in Tann, near Munich, Germany, and was founded in 1985 by Mr. Walter Schatt. Specializing in the design and printing of decorative paper, the company rapidly became a leading player in the international market over the course of a decade. Serving clients worldwide, it is a trusted partner for many manufacturers of furniture, cabinets, laminate flooring, and wood-based panel veneers.
The Schattdecor Group has production bases in eight regions, including Germany, Poland, Italy, Russia, China, Brazil, Turkey, and the United States. It employs over 1,200 staff, operates 31 printing presses and 12 lab proofing machines. By the end of 2010, the group had printed 105,000 tons of decorative paper, produced 270 million square meters of lacquer paper, and achieved sales exceeding 440 million euros.
In 1996, Schattdecor established a sales agency in the Chinese market. In 2001, it invested in building a production base in Shanghai to meet growing market demand. Between 2005 and 2006, the company completed the installation and commissioning of advanced lacquer paper and edgebanding production lines, and expanded its second-phase plant to supply lacquer paper and edgebanding. The Shanghai factory employs over 100 staff, operates three printing lines, and is equipped with warehousing facilities and an administrative center, specifically providing high-quality wood grain, stone grain, and abstract pattern decorative paper to customers in China and Southeast Asia.
