Julius Blum GmbH is an international company specializing in the production of furniture hardware fittings. Its main products include hinges, drawer/guide systems, and flap systems. Blum's customers are primarily large and medium-sized kitchen cabinet and furniture manufacturers, as well as small-scale workshops, ranging from industrial companies and carpenters to hardware distributors. Over 6,000 employees are concentrated at Blum's production sites in Austria (7 factories), as well as in the United States, Brazil, and other branches. They are dedicated to researching and developing innovative hardware solutions, striving for perfect motion.
Blum currently has 27 subsidiaries and representative offices worldwide, covering more than 100 markets. In the 2015/2016 fiscal year, Blum achieved global sales of 1.6656 billion euros (equivalent to 12.32 billion RMB), an increase of 6.5% over the previous fiscal year. This achievement positions Blum as a leading player in the global furniture and kitchen cabinet hardware industry. Additionally, Blum was among the first in the global industry to be certified under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, holding over 2,000 international patents. Due to its exquisite craftsmanship and design, many of Blum's products have won numerous international awards. In September 2012, Blum's energy management system was certified for the first time under the new ISO 50001 standard.
The Blum Group entered China in 2002, and in 2008, Blum built its own office building and logistics center in the Qingpu Industrial Park in Shanghai. As of now, Blum has established 7 branch offices in major cities across China, located in Beijing, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Chengdu, Ningbo, and Qingdao. In the branches in Ningbo, Qingdao, and Nanjing, Blum introduced its solutions for living spaces including living rooms, bedrooms, walk-in closets, bathrooms, and kitchens for the first time. Currently, Blum China has nearly 300 employees, and its business scope in China includes top quick-assembly hinges, luxury metal drawers, damping series, and flap fitting series.
