

On March 5, 2024, Hettich's headquarters in Nagold, Germany welcomedthe visit of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.Mr. ChancellorThis visit to Hettich aimed togain a deeper understanding of how a traditional century-old company sustains its successful growth trajectory, and discuss matters of concern to employees and businesses today.
Board Chairwoman Sibylle Thierer and CEO Gregor Riekena welcomed Chancellor Olaf Scholz and media representatives at Hettich's Nagold headquarters.At the Hettich showroom, Board Chairwoman Sibylle Thierer vividly introduced the important milestones in the company's over-100-year development journey to Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his delegation. Ms. Thierer led the company's diversification as its leader for the 20 years prior to 2023, expanding Hettich's business scope from furniture hardware to door hardware, and finally to whole-house hardware solutions.


Subsequently, Hettich CEO Mr. Gregor Riekena explained the company's new action statement "Maximising the value of space. Together." – how Hettich will provide innovative solutions for future living and working. Mr. Riekena has served as CEO since January 2023, leading Hettich through various challenges last year and achieving notable results globally.


In the Hettich Blackbox Lighting Showroom, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz personally experienced the control functions of the lighting and locking systems. By controlling lights and other smart systems to adapt to different living and working scenarios, Hettich's intelligent products generated significant interest and attention from visitors.


In the Hotel Room Area, Hettich showcased solutions designed for hotels that are "multi-functional and sustainable": through smart, networked connections, transforming hotel rooms from overnight accommodations into offices or meeting rooms used during the day;Mr. Olaf Scholz also expressed expectation for the widespread adoption of this concept in the hotel industry.

After concluding the visit with media representatives, Chancellor Mr. Olaf Scholz and Höffneremployee representatives held a private dialogue. During the dialogue session, the Chancellorengaged in in-depth exchanges on issues of concern to employees, including local infrastructure development, sustainability, social responsibility, future innovation, and success factors for Germany as a business location.Mr. Olaf Scholzmaintained an open attitude towards these issues and listened attentively to the opinions and suggestions of every employee.
