To fully implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee, in accordance with the "Action Plan for Promoting Large-Scale Equipment Renewal and Old-for-New Replacement of Consumer Goods" (Guo Fa [2024] No. 7), the "Several Measures of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance on Intensifying Support for Large-Scale Equipment Renewal and Old-for-New Replacement of Consumer Goods" (Fa Gai Huan Zi [2024] No. 1104), and the "Implementation Plan of Guangdong Province on Effectively Utilizing Ultra-Long-Term Special Government Bonds to Intensify Support for Old-for-New Replacement of Consumer Goods" (Yue Ban Han [2024] No. 269),Guangzhou City is launching the 2024 intensified old-for-new replacement activities for home appliances and the "Renewal" activities for home decoration and kitchen/bathroom products.The activities focus on promoting the replacement of green, smart home appliances and家居消费，促进时尚品质大宗消费，提振消费信心，助力推动广州国际消费中心城市建设。
On October 24th, guided by the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Tianhe District People's Government, supported by the Tianhe District Bureau of Housing Construction and Landscape Architecture and the Tianhe District Bureau of Commerce, and hosted by the Guangzhou Real Estate Industry Association, the launch ceremony for the "Renewal·Go" - 2024 Tianhe District Automobile, Home Furnishing, Home Appliance, and Home Decoration Old-for-New Consumption Season was held at the Guangzhou Ma Hui Home Furnishing Outdoor Plaza. Zeng Yong, Secretary-General of the Guangdong Custom Home Furnishing Association, attended the launch ceremony on behalf of the association upon invitation.
The launch ceremony, themed "Vibrant Guangzhou, Renewal·Go", leveraging the province-wide old-for-new replacement campaign for consumer goods, focuses on key areas such as automobiles, home appliances, home decoration and kitchen/bathroom products, utilizing online and offline resources through multi-party collaboration to create diverse consumption scenarios,and organizing various forms of rich and colorful consumption promotion activities.
At the event site, Secretary-General Zeng Yong explained the specific content of Guangzhou's intensified old-for-new replacement campaign for consumer goods, detailing how to receive and use subsidies, and introduced therelevant policies for "old-for-new replacement" covering eight categories of home appliances, three major categories of digital products, and three major categories of home decoration and kitchen/bathroom products.
Secretary-General Zeng stated that this old-for-new consumption season is not only a positive response to the policies of the State Council and the Ministry of Commerce,but also a specific measure by Guangzhou to promote consumption upgrading and high-quality economic development.It is hoped that through this event, market vitality can be further stimulated, consumers' quality of life can be improved, and consumer market supervision will be strengthened to ensure full protection of consumer rights, thereby creating a safe, transparent, and vibrant consumption environment.
